DTC Hybrid Operating Room
The renovation of two existing OR’s to be combined into a single Hybrid OR to accommodate a new
radio graphic imaging system and surgical equipment. The project encompasses approximately 1,325 square feet of area
on the third floor of the DTC Building. This renovation will include upgraded finishes to the adjacent Clean Corridor
and the Scrub Station Area. The project includes the following spaces: OR, Control Room, Uninterruptible Power
Supply (UPS) Room, Equipment Room, and Scrub Station Area along the Clean Corridor. Removed existing walls, partitions, doors, frames, ceiling grids, and ceiling tiles. Prepped for new floors and walls by removing finishes on both. Provided all light gauge metal framing, in-wall and in-ceiling framing, drywall, hanging, finishing, thermal and acoustical sound insulation, and patching of existing walls.
Project Relevance
Hybrid operating rooms offer tremendous opportunities to advance care. It makes patient recovery faster and elevates them to a higher quality of life. Hybrid OR’s allow hospitals to provide better patient care and the same level of outcome as valve replacement surgery in a much more minimally invasive way. If an emergency develops, all the equipment and doctors are in place for open-heart surgery.
